Go to your tablet properties, click on "about" and then hold "ctrl" and click "diagnose"

When done right, the next window should have a "recalibrate" button somewhere on the bottom. Click that and you can recalibrate by size or by phase. Size recalibration isn't very effective, but it's pretty easy. Phase however, is a little difficult and takes a good while, but the results are great. (you'll need your stylus stand for phase)

anyways, try recalibrating before you go get a new stylus or new tablet altogether...

What kind of tablet do you want? Mine was $80 with shipping on Amazon and it's a Wacom with really High Pressure Sensitivity. It's a small working space though, but still good.
